Satvinder and I got to spend some time together today - just the two of us, which is rare. We made a ginger bread house and went out for ice cream and saw a movie while Suky got to do fun stuff with her dad. I don't remember the last time we had a day like that together. I'm grateful for a relaxed day and time with my kids and, as always, just the fact that these girls exist.
Today I also found out I got a grant (and some loans, if I need them) for going back to school. I had no idea how easy it was to get money for school. That was a really pleasant surprise.
