Day 31

What a lovely New Year's Day. I think - dare I say? - that we are getting pretty well adjusted now that we are reaching the one month mark. Things feel good. Here we are, doing our thing as a family of four. I could be proven wrong at any moment. But today - today has felt really good.

We went hiking with some friends at South Mountain today and it was just beautiful.

Satvinder thinks her baby sister is hilarious. She does complain about Sukhjot stealing some of her attention - but much more often, she exclaims about how cute she is and how funny. Satvinder takes care of the baby - shading her eyes from the sun in the car, reading to her, covering her with a blanket. The other day in the car, Satvinder put a blanket on top of Sukhjot's head (like a hat) and just cracked up at how funny it was. She laughed so much and told Sukhjot, "Just LOOK at yourself!"

It is so precious to see them. So precious to be their mother.
Here's a picture of Sukhjot in the bath tonight. She really likes bath time - she gets so relaxed. She fell asleep right after.
